for those about to rock.....at fresh & easy

Amazing days.

At the end of September, we had 300 employees. Today, we've just passed 1,000.

It's been the privilege of myself and my colleagues over the last few days to meet some of the teams who will be running our first stores, which open in 8 days time.

If there's one thing I've learnt about retailing over the years, it's that you need happy staff to have happy customers. It's why we put so much effort into creating a positive workplace, where everyone is treated with respect.

Over the last 30 months, we've listened to people - as customers, as neighbors and as employees - and from what we've heard, developed fresh&easy neighborhood market.

But although we think we've got the ingredients in place, it'll be the teams in the stores that really bring fresh&easy to life.

We couldn't have been more impressed by the people we've met. Friendly, excited, enthusiastic...I could go on.

We're close to throwing open the doors of the first stores... and letting our customers decide.

For all the people that have joined us on this adventure, we're about to rock... and we salute you.

As an English expat living in Philadelphia, PA, I can't wait until you open up in our region....any idea when that might be & more importantly, will you sell Horlicks, Marmite, English bacon & Curly Wurlys for the kids?

Hi Simon:
I have watched with anticipation as the Anaheim and Buena Park stores are prepared for their openings this month. I submitted my resume online but haven't heard back. How can I find out if my resume has been seen?
Thanks and good luck!
Sincerely,
Andrew Williams

I start monday and I'm really looking forward to it. This store is really the boost my area needs. we have alot of fast food but not alot of good food. After meeting people who already work there at my interview I can tell this is going to be a lot of fun for the customers and staffers.

I have to echo your sentiments ROCK!

While driving home from dropping my Daughter off at school I have noticed 2 of your stores being built. One in Long Beach and the other 3 miles from my home in lakewood. I was a Mgr. for Ethan Allen for 9 years and have been a stay at home mom for the past 6. I filled out an application on line and am really interested in your company....I might even want to come back into the work force! I can not wait for your store to open in my area!!! Shiloh Moore

I'm thinking you need to open in North Park, San Diego... our up-and-coming neighbourhood needs some decent fresh food :)

I went to your store today in West Covina and I absolutely loved it. I think you need to open a store Whittier, CA. They are in need of another option to Ralphs or Trader Joes.
