Save on gas at fresh & easy

No, we don't sell gas at fresh&easy.

But looking at the feedback we receive, we clearly save people money on gas.

How can that be?

The explanation goes right to the heart of why fresh&easy exists.

Right back at the beginning, when we started talking to people about food shopping, we found they wanted to shop in their neighborhood, preferably in one store. But they felt compelled to shop in a number of stores, often some distance away - to seek out fresher, more wholesome and authentic food, as well as to make their budget go further.

So they helped us design fresh&easy, to give people what they wanted - fresh, wholesome, authentic food, alongside their favorite brands, all at honest low prices, right there in their neighborhood.

Of course, our customers save money just by buying their food from us.

But I've been struck by how many emails we've had from customers, amazed at the time and money they're saving, because they no longer have to drive around to so many stores.

Good for their pockets in these harder times, but also, by shopping locally and saving on gas, good for the environment.

A win-win if ever I saw one.

And that, as ever, is how it should be.....

I just visited the new store in my neighborhood (after receiving a flyer in my building) and I am PSYCHED! It's so great to have a local place and avoid the driving hassle here in LA.

(Though that means I'm going to have to buy one of those wheeler dealies now.)

The prices were great (I'm eating banana chips as I type that I snagged for .77!)

The only addition I'd LOVE to see is some gluten free stuff. A lot of us have allergies to the stuff and making special trips to Whole Foods and Trader Joe's for Gluten Free bread is a hassle.

PLEASE bring some GF breads to your Hollywood store.

Thanks for bringing the "neighbor" back to neighborhood!

We are hearing great things about store. Would you consider putting one in Sunland-Tujunga? If so, contact the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council at office@stnc.org -- The STNC knows the available spots and other details. We would sure love to have you here so we don't have to waste expensive gas to shop too far away! Thanks!

We have heard that you will be here in Downey soon ! If that's true, Hope you come soon. Many of us are totally Excited and can't wait ! ! Many of us here are Trader Joe lover's, as I am, as well as loyal Whole Foods and Wild Oats shoppers, but they are all so far away !

I end up taking orders for neighbors and family members so I could go in one trip. At the reate of gas I'm going to have to add a trailer to my truck :)
But it would be nice to have a place that is healthful and in our neighborhood. Hope you come soon !
