Listening to you – it’s a piece of cake!
We really love hearing from you. We love getting your comments about what you like and what you think we should improve. When we first set out to design and build Fresh & Easy, we went out and asked people what they wanted from a grocery store. Now, just a few short years later listening is still a huge part of how we run our company and we’re happy to report we have many ways to connect with you – through our website, Twitter, Customer Favorites and Kitchen Table polls, and now Facebook.
But it’s not just about taking the time to listen to your comments – it’s about figuring out a way to respond. Take for example the case of the fresh&easy Gourmet Chocolate Cupcakes.
Oakley, creator of the independent fan blog Temple of Fresh & Easy, bites into the sweet success of bringing back the fan favorite.
When we discontinued these cupcakes due to shipping and distribution issues, our in-boxes were immediately flooded with feedback from customers who missed their chocolaty goodness. We heard everything from “I cannot live without my chocolate cupcakes” to “I am devastated the cupcakes are no longer in the stores.” So we quickly figured out a way to get the cupcakes back on our shelves in just three weeks.
We also recently launched several more gluten free products and you might have noticed that we brought back and added new fresh&easy baking mixes, all as a direct response to customer feedback.
So as you bite into that chocolate cupcake or bake that vanilla bean cake, go right ahead and thank yourself and your neighbors. And keep the feedback and ideas coming, because we’re listening.
Cheers!

I did notice the cake mixes. I think it is fantastic you are offering more gluten-free products. I know a lot of children who are on gluten-free diets and it can be a challenge.
I am glad the baking mixes are back - we particularly like the cornbread, but why on earth the packaging switch? What used to be a nice easy to store lightweight box is now a big old canister with a resealable lid. Harder to carry and harder to store and no longer recyclable. And why a resealable lid when you use the entire contents at one time anyway?
Hey there Lunch Buckets!
To answer your question on the new packaging on the cake mixes we chose this canister for a couple of reasons - price so we could transfer that savings to you, efficiency for supplier, and it requires less packaging than a box & bag. The resealable lid is to ensure freshness and quality.
Hope this answers your questions!

Yay for gluten-free! Can F&E stock kefir? Pretty please? It's pretty much the only reason I don't shop at F&E exclusively. Thank you!
I bought a F & E brand cake mix and frosting last week. Good stuff!
I have a question-I shop at your Trautwein store in Riverside, Ca. and I will be honest. I like to shop in the mornings after I drop the kids off at school. I like to enjoy a free cup of your delicious coffee while I shop. The store has a sign inside that says it is available every day. This store has had either no coffee for the past few months or has coffee without cream or sweeteners. I asked employees why there is no coffee and was told that they are too busy. I'd love to see the coffee with creamer and sweetener make a comeback. Pretty Please?
