Help us fight cancer - with lemonade!
Posted on
While fighting a battle with neuroblastoma,
Alexandra "Alex" Scott was just four years old when she decided to
take life's lemons and make lemonade. She started a lemonade
stand and donated all the money she raised to cancer research. By
the time she sadly passed away at age 8, Alex had raised $1
million for cancer research and treatments.
Today, her mission to find a cure lives on through
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), started by Alex's
parents, Jay and Liz Scott. ALSF has raised over $55 million for
cutting-edge cancer research projects and a travel program for
cancer victims' families.

When we heard about Alex's story and her mission, we wanted to
help. So starting today, which is fittingly National Lemonade
Day, through Sept. 4th our stores will be holding a
lemonade fundraising promotion - several of our fresh&easy
lemonades will be on sale, with 5% of the proceeds being donated to
ALSF.
By simply enjoying our yellow, mango, pink, blueberry, or
raspberry lemonades you will not only be better prepared to endure
this heat wave, but will be helping fight childhood cancers too!
And an added bonus is that our lemonades don't contain any
artificial colors, flavors or high-fructose corn syrup. Just
refreshing goodness.

Another way you can help fight pediatric cancer is by scanning
the barcode on the yellow lemon-shaped signs that are attached to
each check-out (from 8/22 to 9/4). For every scan, $1 will be
donated directly to ALSF. So during your next shopping trip, help
us support this worthy cause and scan one of the yellow lemon signs
and cooling down with some of our fresh&easy lemonade!
